Music

Looking to buy a turntable? Want to start a record collection? On the hunt for rare and collectible records? Need a DJ for your next shindig?

I can help.

I had the privilege of listening to records growing up on my oldest brother Mark’s stereo and have been collecting them ever since. I’ve spoiled myself with thousands of them over the years.

In grade school I made mixtapes (actual cassettes kids) for friends and family moving on to mixed CDs and now playlists. Fresh out of school and new to Vancouver I enrolled into a work placement program. I selected to be put in a record shop and then Coast 1040 radio station which was Vancouver’s first and only alternative music station. My other work placement was A&B Sound.

A thirst for new music brought me to Luvafair every Sunday in the early 90s until it was demolished to make way for a new condo tower. I used to go every Tuesday for Klassix night as well. I’ve been to pretty much all of the live music venues here in Vancouver too. In recent years I’ve travelled to music festivals in different parts of the world. I’m looking forward to where the next one will take me.

In it’s heyday, I had a weekly spot DJing at The Narrow Tuesday’s and supported the Lazerbomb crew often with their night on Sunday’s. Maybe your party is next?
